I got lost in Matthew 27 today as I read a powerful revelation about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ!
Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people. The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:50-54 NLT)
1. At that moment!
In my life I’ve had some great times with Jesus but when this phrase is used in this scripture…it’s purposeful because at that moment the transforming power of God began to break out all over the earth that stamped world change on us all! It’s at the moment you have with Jesus that it becomes life-threatening for any sin to even abide in you!!! It’s at the moment you can’t deny the power of Jesus!
2. Jesus leaves a mark
When the Son of God, Jesus, has a moment with you your life will be shaken, you may feel like it’s splitting wide open, but then revival will begin as your Spirit rises up and begins to appear to you and to others…now you know you’ve had a moment!
3. Truly, this was the Son of God
When you get to the moment, you will walk away and stand in awe with knees knocking and knowing this was the Real Jesus you just encountered!
That’s a confirmation that God defines these moments with Him through his Resurrection power! I challenge you to have a GOD MOMENT!
– thank you Jesus!
