Yesterday, I had the honor or stepping alongside the Next Generation Power Force and sharing a positive message with four schools in our area, Carlise, Whitesboro, Marshal Christian Academy, and Sardis High School. Many wonderful things happened that day, I watched kids oooo and ahhh at the feats of strength at Jerome and Shawn King were attempting, I saw students receive a message of hope in their hearts, I even saw a few buttcracks! (lol) It was awesome!
My favorite thing that happened, was at a school where there were several elementary students! They were CRAZY! In a good kind of way of course. Jerome would ask each school by a show of hands how many of you have a dream in your heart that you want to see happen for yourself. Kids would raise their hands like crazy. So then Jerome would ask a few students what their dream was. You would hear the usual…police officer, fireman, nurse, doctor, lawyer etc…but there was this one kid who said….When I grow up I want to be a “SEAHORSE.” Everyone broke out into laughter, and I thought it was the cutest thing ever said…but I begin to think about it later….
This young man….has a dream of being a SEAHORSE. His imagination goes beyond mine, yours and probably everyone around you. He believes so much in himself at that young of an age…that he literally wants to be a SEAHORSE. Thats incrediable.
What is your dream today? Do you have enough belief in your ownself to accomplish your dream. I believe that God has a dream for all of us according to Jeremiah 29:11! If God believes that we can be anything, then we should as well! I hope that student at the school never gives up on his dream of being a SEAHORSE…I’m serious! Don’t look at your dreams as silly…never gonna happen imaginations or fantisies…instead dream BIG and OUT OF THE BOX! WITH GOD ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
