Checking for Update…

I have an Apple Watch. The other day I updated my phone and then went on to update my watch. The most frustrating thing happened. It wouldn’t update or pair with my phone. It kept telling me to wait. After several attempts I walked away wondering what I had done wrong. Why wouldn’t it pair?

The same question echoes in my soul. Why won’t my heart pair with God’s heart? Why are there glitches in my story? Why does my heart beat for things that are not good for me? Am I the only one who feels this way?
With all these questions it’s easy to become frustrated and decide to walk away from our faith walk. This is the most important part to living a life of faith with Jesus. Staying still, steady and sure even when you don’t feel like it. When we stay still, we find wholeness. The Lord can minster to us even when we think we are so far away.

When I experienced pain I wasn’t surprised. I was reminded of the grace of God once again. He stabilizes us in the midst of our pain. He redirects our path in the midst of pain. This internal heartache is the reminder that we all need a Savior who can alleviate and redeem the wrong things in us that cause turmoil in our souls. Richness of life comes through pairing your heart with God’s heart.

Eventually, the watch updates. Eventually after time goes by…your heart begins to heal and update. You begin to pair back in line with the heart of God. Your thoughts become like His thoughts. Your actions become induced by the Word of God, and you start to find his rhythm once again. It all comes from staying intentional with your heart work. Keep updating your heart, keep trying to pair your heart with God’s will and soon you will have a fresh beginning with new features. You will now understand things about yourself that you never knew. You will experience new strength and passion for what is good and healthy. Maybe it’s time we check for an update.

It’s all in the update! Let His features give you freedom and joy!

I Corinthians 6:12 You say, “I am allowed to do anything – but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.
