It’s been one month and a week now living in San Francisco. The weather is great, the kids love school, the church has embraced us, the parking is still annoying but all in all we have settled in. I would love to tell you that life is GREAT and EXACTLY what I desired, but honestly I have experienced more anxiety in this season than I would like to admit. I’m humbled to have the opportunity, but still frazzled by what God is up to.
It’s just UNCOMFORTABLE! You have probably heard the saying that if you are COMFORTABLE, THEN YOU’RE NOT GROWING.” I truly believe that statement. In this one month and a week I have sincerely learned so much that I have felt like I have been in a College Mini-Course. (those like 5 week cram sessions with professors that we all aspire to do, yeah right?) There comes a time in our lives that we enjoy being lazy even more than when we were teens! We enjoy knowing our surroundings and we get used to certain things being certain ways and it’s okay if we just settle on down! I hate to admit I was there, and I enjoyed my comfy space of life.
Now, let me get real with you! I feel like my entire life has turned upside down. I’m coming home at night just exhausted from the thoughts of doing this again…another day! Seriously will I make this? If I say I’m struggling THEN I will look weak to others and people will just look down upon me…that’s the enemy talking of course. I just want to paint you a picture of what it feels to have the training, the experience, and the faith but you struggle anyways!
Even in this, there is a lesson to learn!
Here is the lesson I hear God whispering among the chaos…
- You are not crazy, you are crazy brave.
- Psalm 31:24 The Message (MSG) 24 Be brave. Be strong. Don’t give up. Expect God to get here soon.
I’m not sure what is driving you crazy to admit. Hold your head up and say it. Say the struggle your facing out loud and admit it’s there! Then let God whisper your lesson to you in your chaotic messy journey of life. (HE STILL SPEAKS)
Admit your CRAZY BRAVE to be humble and know that God will always be there reminding us to be stronger, keep striving and to stick close!
That’s God’s perfect way of reminding us that “WE NEED HIM.” (OH, WE DO)
