God wants His throne room back!

A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.Jeremiah 17:12

I really believe if you are a Christ follower you know that God is seated on the throne. You know that this is a place of high esteem, it’s the chair of royalty, and the great position where power of authority reigns. I also believe that we believers trust in knowing that this position and throne was set up at the very beginning of all existence, which in retrospect is the foundation of our entire faith walk. Without really knowing this and trusting that this throne is actually in use and in position, we would have no direct understanding of the authority or Lordship that has been placed over us as His creation. In other words we would NOT have a Creator or Savior. That kind of life would be like walking without feet. No direction, no foundation, and no faith to walk in.

In this scripture something jumped out at me as a believer, and I want to share my thoughts and convictions with you. Last part of the verse says, “the place of our sanctuary.” After looking up sanctuary I found that this place for us is our temple, our hiding place, or the holy place where the Lord is present.

So we know that God is seated on the glorious throne, but my question is this. Is He seated on the throne of our sanctuaries or temples? Reason I’m asking, is because the scripture simply is saying that His throne placement is located in the sanctuary (our temples).  1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. So when He says the glorious throne is the place of our sanctuary He is referring to our bodies. His throne room is located in us!

If we are believers that believe that God is seated on His throne then we must also agree that He is seated in highest authority in our own bodies. So going back to my question, is He seated on the throne in our sanctuaries or temples?

See, from my own personal convictions I’m seeing that there are times that I don’t let God have the authority that he deserves and should be exalted for in my sanctuary or body. We all have times where we refuse to shut our mouths and we spew out junk that is contaminated and worn with pollution from the enemy. In Matthew 15:18 (MSG) it says, “But what comes out the mouth gets its start in the heart. It’s from the heart that we vomit up evil arguments, murder, adultery, fornication, thefts, lies and cussing. That’s what pollutes.”

I believe God wants His throne back! He wants the throne room key to your heart back. He wants back into your sanctuary (body), so He can direct, heal, be in control, love you and help you show more love, reveal and examine our motives, and shape us into His workmanship.

We give the keys to the throne room away too easily! We let a boyfriend have one, a friend have one, a co-worker have one. Before we know it, we have given the authority of direction and Lordship to somebody who has no business giving us advice and shaping our futures. This is where the mess of life begins. We must empty our pockets today of offense, hardships, mistrust, rebellious ways, and half-truths and let God have His throne back.

When he gets the key back to His throne room that rightfully belongs to Him, then you can rejoin in with His ways, His thoughts, His plans, His heart, His direction and His will and life can get back going in the right direction.

Who is on the throne of your sanctuary? I hope today you will let Him have the key back and dethrone the others or the things that are keeping your sanctuary (temple or body) from being in complete surrender.

Today read.. Ephesians 2:21

Let’s become a holy temple for the Lord.
