⁸ They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
    with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
    or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
    and they never stop producing fruit.

When the root is deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.

We need to be like the trees planted, rooted, and grounded so much that no matter what winds may come we do not waver or budge! We are UNSHAKEABLE!

The Spirit of God, who is holy and makes our house (temple) holy, will lead you and guide you in your decisions and He will prompt you with what to do with your house. He will tell you how to build healthy friendships and relationships. He will guide you on what to put in your house. He will give you opportunities to decorate with peace, forgiveness, love, patience, kindness, grace, and mercy. He will convince you of who is allowed into your house…your soul.

Not every person, thing or place is good for your house.

So when you have dug deeper and you have planted yourself and grown some roots in your relationship with God, you will find that the Holy Spirit will save you from a lot of heartaches. He will direct your conscience daily.

This is why after you are truly saved you actually begin to feel bad for doing something sinful or not good for your life. If you don’t feel anything when you sin, you need to examine yourself and your motives. Examine your roots. Where are you producing fruit? What kinds of fruit are you producing? Are you being wavered by every storm of life that approaches? Where are your roots?

If you will be led by the Spirit of God, your life will be built not only the Rock of Jesus Christ, the Unshakeable God, but your faith will withstand and you will be deeply rooted with no fear of what might be coming next. You will know where you stand! There will be no doubts in your mind.

If you are suffering from doubt today…then read today in 1 Peter the entire chapter. You will find that God wants us to be rooted in Him so that we can be directed by His Spirit and be holy because He is holy.

Today no more doubts about your soul…instead reach out to the Rock, the UNSHAKEABLE KING, Jesus and let him in. Let him take control, let His Spirit reside and move, and then listen to the Spirit because you are about to be planted in the best season of Victory you’ve ever seen!
