Have you ever made this statement? I’ve just been through enough! We usually make this statement in life when we feel like a failure, like we want to give in or up, and we just throw our hands up and declare that we’ve been through enough so that gives us justification to give up. NO IT DOES NOT! Let me explain before you stop reading…hold on just a few more minutes.
Jesus wants us to build our lives upon the Rock (Jesus). When we begin to build our house on a firm foundation you will wake up knowing God is on your side and that is ENOUGH!
Approval from others, relationships, a social lit up life, being rich and famous, being popular, and having success by worldly standards will never be ENOUGH. You will always want more…but knowing that Jesus is ENOUGH for you seals the deal. It shuts the door to being a hypocrite, straddling the Christian fence, and the feeling to impress others. It seals the deal to all of that because you find security in the Lord Jesus when you build your house on the Rock.
Enough is JESUS…AND YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH JESUS BEFORE YOU CAN SAY I GIVE UP…but then you won’t want to.
See you don’t need all the answers or even the knowing of what will happen next, you just need to trust that God will give you the Grace for when it comes.
Life is up and down, but God is there! Life throws us curveballs, life happens, bad things happen and good things happen, but declaring depression and give up statements are not the answer. Instead build your life on the Rock of Jesus, because He is enough and he will give you the Grace to go through it!
Being an Unshakeable Christian means yes you have been through enough…you have been through the forgiving, gracious, loving and amazing Jesus and He is Enough and he gives us grace all the way through every situation you must face…if you are building your house on the Rock.
It’s easy to become a great church-goer. It’s tough to decide to be Unshakeable, but it’s worth it.
I met a young lady in our church a few years ago after she lost her son who was five years old to a unexpected spider bite. He said hello to Heaven, and my friend said hello to grief and despair. When I met her she was a mess of emotions of course, but beyond that her life was crumbling. But after this tragic event in her life (the worst experience, that none of us want to go through), she decided to rebuild her life on Jesus (the Rock). She accepted Jesus, she dropped friendships, relationships and habits so she could pay attention to Jesus more. She didn’t know much about her Word, and she was coming to church every Sunday. Today that young lady is stronger than I’ve ever seen her, she has been through pure hell, she has seen the worst of grief, she has had every right to throw her hands up and quit…but she found the Rock!
He was Enough and He is giving her the Grace to walk through this in her life. Today she speaks to women about her life, she paints amazing portraits of God’s love…today she rejoices because God is pulling her from pain into victory.
See God wants to do that for you too. If you will just build your house on the Rock.
Reflect Today and believe that God will give you the grace to walk through your darkest moments, that He will be Enough for you! Trust Him today and Believe that Jesus is the Rock of your salvation.
2 Samuel 22: David sang…
David sang this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and from Saul. He sang: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence. …
