Over the years of my life I have always been one to set goals and push myself to reach them. I’m not the kind of person who enjoys sitting at home all day and watching lots of TV while munching on potato chips. Nope, not I. I’m always trying to reach for the stars…in other words I’m always searching for a new project, a refreshing moment, something new…I think you get my drift. Never settled.
This was all until I had a “Grace Miracle” in my life that changed everything. My purpose was re-defined when I began to learn the real me. I would love to say that I had my whole life together and I understood this Christian walk better than ever…but I’m doomed and happy to admit God needed to re-define my purpose.
See I thought my world was falling apart but God was up to something that took some molding, remaking and re-naming in my life. I thought I was meant for one purpose like reaching students for Jesus, and God started changing me and setting me up for a lot more. Today I see my purpose as more than a preacher or singer, but as a walking example of Christ himself every moment of every day. See I knew this all along that, that was God’s purpose for us all but it revealed itself even more after I saw God’s grace radiating in my life.
Today, I am living my life under a new name, a new purpose and a new day…something I had always wanted but I didn’t know how to get on my own. I needed Jesus to turn me upside down and inside out for Him so that he could get all the glory. Now today, in all the opportunities God has given me, I am walking around not stressing over how much more new stuff can I add to my plate but how much more gracious living can I do to satisfy my Savior. The glory is Yours!
My purpose re-defined by the one who matters most, Jesus Christ. He can rewrite your story, set you on a new path, give you a grace miracle and turn you life upside down if you will rediscover your purpose is in Him not in You!
