I am two weeks away from a divine gift from God arriving in my life. On May 8th a beautiful Baby Boy will be completing our little family, and we are so excited. This kind of gift that only God can give bring such joy to my heart. I know that God is planning and scripting out this young man’s life already, and I can’t wait to see how God uses “Blue” for His Glory.
Last night in youth group we discussed the life of a Soldier in Christ. We discussed the scriptures from 2 Timothy 2:1-7 where Paul writes to a young man named Timothy his last words in his last letter to mentor this young man. He tells Him to take Glory in his suffering…and be a Soldier of the Lord Jesus.
Pregnant women understand Glory in suffering. We go through the nine months of carrying this gift, but it’s uncomfortable, painful, rich with side effects but we don’t stop carrying because we know that this suffering will produce fruit. We will see our baby soon and hold them in our arms. We will be their mommy. Taking glory in our suffering at that moment is a privilege.
Christ is the ultimate example of someone who took Glory in his suffering. He went through the suffering of the Cross to see Resurrection and then see the fruit of your salvation. Suffering surely produces fruit.
Today take glory in your suffering…press through toward the prize…become a Warrior, a Soldier for Christ. Don’t take the easy way out, instead stand up for what you believe and become alert in Christ, because there is a war going on!
Tena and I are so proud of you! Wise beyond your years and making a difference!
