Just this past weekend me and Matt and little Violet decided on Saturday that we were going to have a special family day together. The idea was to create some beautiful moments with Violet while we were both off work, and could give her individual attention. She is such a gift from God that I never want to take her for granted, what God has given me to nourish, protect and love. So our idea was to go to the park and have a picnic together! The weather was gorgeous, and I was so excited about spending time with my family!
So as we picnicked I was reminded of a statement I made at the end of our youth service last week. Before we all went home I said I’ll see you next week I hope everyone has “PEACE AND GRAVY.” It ended up being a very catchy saying with my youth leaders and young people, and we have all adopted the new saying as a statement to say everything is doing good.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:16 it says “Now may the Lord of PEACE himself give you His PEACE at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
We are living in a world full of turmoil and distractions going on all around us. We need peace now! We need more peace than the government can give us, our families can give us, and our friends can give us! We need the PEACE FROM THE LORD. He is the peacemaker, and he knows how to make everything GOOD!
So today, be encouraged that God is setting up some “PEACE AND GRAVY” in your life. Make the declaration to yourself that this week you will create some PEACE MOMENTS with you and God, with you and your family and with your friends and loved ones!
