When I was dating Matt my amazing husband, I fell in love with apart of him that still shines through today. He always created moments that could not be taken away from my memory, he made it memorable. One time he wrote little things that he loved about me and put them in an Altoids box and covered the tin box with purple paper. He had several slips of paper inside for me to pull out and read. They were all the little things he loved/liked about me. He made that day very special to me, and I never forgot it.
One thing as a Mom, Wife, Youth Pastor, Christian and the list goes on, is that I love to create moments where people stop to listen and remember a significant time. Graduations with teenagers are moments, lunch room discussions over school pizza with teenagers are moments, playing peek-a-boo with Violet are moments, watching a movie with my husband are moments. Creating special moments in the people I care about most are very important to me.
I want to challenge you today in your life, to create moments with your kids, family, friends, and church that you will never forget. Add some extra zest to the day by stopping for a moment to tell them why you love them so much! BE CREATIVE!
Moments will slip by us unless we stop to CREATE THEM!
