Real Blood!

So today my heart is really soft and broken for the victims from Colorado, and just this past weekend one of my good friends from high school took his own life. I was watching an interview today of one of the victims from the Colorado Theatre Shooting, and he was saying very passionately how that he had never seen REAL BLOOD come out of a human body before or even dead bodies lying around him. He was saying how that he had heard about other shootings happening in other places of the world but it never really hit home with him. He said that we see it but we don’t feel it. But of course now, he feels it!

It made me realize something so important today. The world is becoming more evil and more evil every day. The world is getting closer and closer to the end, and Jesus is getting ready to come back for us, but are we feeling the REAL BLOOD? We don’t have time to wait for something tragic to happen for us to start living out a relationship with God, the REAL BLOOD is flowing all around us. Everyday someone is tragically murdered, raped and abused. Everyday divorces happen, depression sets in, heartbreak leaves us wounded, and hope for a new day cries out! What am I saying?

We don’t have much time left. The REAL BLOOD of Jesus is here to cleanse us of all of our sins, so that we can be free. Just because we find God doesn’t mean we won’t have problems, discouragements, or hard times! It just means that we have a hope that we are not home yet, and soon we will be at home soon with Jesus! I know you may think this post is played out!

But it’s time to stop singing the songs about Jesus, and start living them out! It’s time to stop sitting on the seat watching the preacher, and get up and do what the word of God says to do! What are we waiting for…another bad day, tragic story, or heartbreak…it’s time to feel the REAL BLOOD!
