My sister told me this funny story about her when she was prego one time. The car needed to be washed really bad, and she was fully pregnant and she was in the mode to get it done. Knowing that she had nothing to wash the car with, she took the great ole mop and begin to mop her car on the outside to give it a good washing. I told here I would have given anything almost to watch her mop her car! Oh, the things we will do when we are desperate for change, direction, or hope.
Last night, I was extremely give out and tired, and so was my daughter Violet. She screamed, tossed, and turned all night long…and honestly the only thing that seemed to calm her down was oreo cookies. She is a fan just like her mom, so I prolly became the worst mom ever because I gave her what she wanted lol. Truthfully it was 1:00 am and I was tired and desperate for her to go to sleep, so if oreos would work, then it was worth a try.
Do you ever feel this way? Do you ever feel like whatever happens that needs to happen to change your situation, just needs to happen. In those moments in our lives spiritually we really need to be careful. Sometimes we can become so desperate in our lives, that we can turn the situation into a bigger mess. That’s why I believe it’s so important to be rooted in your Word and consider His words above our own, because His direction will not only satisfy the need but He will also give us the desires of our heart.
Don’t be so desperate that you look like the pregnant lady car mopping lol, instead find God for his direction. Who knows he may have the bucket, the water, and the sponge for you to get everything clean and shiny again. Seek Him first!
