TINY FeeT!

Gosh, I remember when Violet was born how small and tiny her feet were. I thought for sure they would never grow because it took her a long time to reach the place where she could really wear shoes and keep them on. Yesterday I gave this example in my Sunday Lifgroup with teenage/college students about growing in your relationship with Christ.

If you were 17 years old, but had really tiny feet the size of a one year old baby, you would look weird number one, but then you would also not be able to get around well, and you would bump into things easily and fall easily. Well that is the way some Christians look like in their Spiritual way! They may be all grown up and look all mature on the outside, but their poor feet never grew and they have a hard time bumping into tempations and struggles easily. They can’t seem to get in the right direction and become consistent in thier prayer lives and study habits in the word. Why can’t our feet grow?

Growing in God is a gradual process. It will not happen overnight! You have to constantly want and allow yourself to grow more and more with God. If you think you have it all, you are strongly mistaken, there is more! God is waiting for us to get on our knees and pray and seek His face, it’s up to us! It’s not up to the preacher, the singers, the church, your families, or your friends, it is all up to YOU to GO AFTER GOD!

So I challenge you to GO AFTER GOD TODAY, and grow BIG feet that match your mature self so you can follow Christ!
