REV THAT ENGINE!

So last night at Dunamus Student Ministry we kicked off the winter/spring semester by driving up a motorcycle onto the stage as an illustration for our topic that night, KICKSTART! This post is simply just some real good notes from last nights message! Be inspired today!

Kickstart means an action to reactivate something. That means we need to kickstart our relationships with the Lord, and reactivate those deep feelings we once had for Jesus! Just like when you first met that person you so care about or love! You had these over dramatic gooey feelings for each other that makes other people sick. lol. That kind of love for God needs to be reactivated today!

YOU HAVE TO TAKE ACTION!

ACTION 1: kick the pedal to start your engine! Something you need to remember is that Action is a decision it’s not just going to happen! The right actions produce the right choices, the bad actions produce the wrong choices. “Destiny is not a matter of chance, but a matter of choice. It is not to be waited for, but instead to be achieved.” Proverbs 16:3 says to Commit your ACTIONS to the Lord, and your plans will succeed!

ACTION 2: decide where you want to go in God! “Life is a series of collisions with the future, not what we have been, but what we yearn to be.” Listen, YOU can never plan your future by your past! IN 2012 God wants to do something new in you! Isaiah 43:18-19)

ACTION 3: ENJOY the ride with God! I have a blast serving Jesus, and you should as well! If you will allow the Holy Spirit to take control of your life, he will give you the turns to take. Galatians 5:16 says Let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

So today think on this! As you begin in 2012 to change your thinking, start immediately to change your behaviour. Begin to act the part of the person you would like to become. Take action on your behavior. Too many people want to FEEL, THEN TAKE ACTION. THIS NEVER WORKS. – John Maxwell
