Pastor Jeff at Free Life preaches this awesome message on Sunday morning about being Happy! in the New Year! So, we started our fast on January 8th and I was pumped about that, I was excited about all the new things for 2012, I was determined to Start Over and have a Happy! New Year!
Until about 8:00 am the next morning! Everything was going great. Woke up on time, got Violet ready to go to the doctor to be cleared of RSV so she could go back to daycare, looked cute that day (I thought anyways), and I was ready to start back to work Happy! We were all in the car headed to the doctor. Sitting at a stop sign, no cars were coming at the moment, so I pull out to cross 431, and my car goes dead! WHAT! I mean dead! I cranked it twice nothing happened. I was in tears, panicing because I could see the cars coming at me through the fog, looking back behind me to see Violet sitting there playing with her bow in her hair, my next thought was to jump out and get Violet and run before the car got hit! My life flashed before my eyes! The next time I tried to crank the car, it cranked right up and took off across 431 to get me to my sister’s house for a ride! Wooo I thought to myself its gonna be a HAPPY DAY!
Then we get everything in my sister’s car and headed back down the road to the doc. We pull into the parking lot of the dr’s office and I notice that Violet’s nebualizer’s cord had been hanging out the whole time. My first thought was OH No it’s broken and I can’t do breathing treatments on Violet and then she will get hospitalized. But God must of been up to something because that nebualizer was fixable and it’s working better than it did before the poor cord hung out of the car 25 miles. HAPPY DAY!
The day progressed into Violet being cleared of RSV, but she was still very sick. So I stayed home with Violet the rest of the day to help her get through all of this! I was working my way through this miserable day I thought!
About 5:30 pm, I heard something outside! A car door slammed, a light was on in my car outside, and someone was hanging out at my garage! Someone was breaking into my car! I ran and got Matt, and we called the police to file the 3rd burgulary report on our property! AGAIN HAPPY DAY!
After that day was over, and I was almost asleep in the bed I began to think about everything from Sunday’s sermon to my situations today! Pastor said that we must make the decision to be HAPPY!
Well, I prayed my prayers thanked God for protection and care for me, and I rolled over and said what a HAPPY DAY! Make the decision to be Happy. Don’t let your situation determine your happiness! BE HAPPY NO MATTER WHAT!
