WEiRD Mustache!

So last night at Dunamus Student Ministries we began a new series entitled WEiRD! Every youth leader was supposed to wear one thing WEiRD to see if the students would notice. I decided to go with a handlebar mustache. I noticed throughout the night that it was difficult for my students to take me seriously. It was abnormal and just plain weird. I’ve always been a little on the weird side with my randomness, bi-polar moments, and of course my choosing of hairstyles throughout the years. But mainly I’m pretty weird about my relationship with God.

Most normal people find Church as a community or social site of interest. I find church as a place to worship God freely and to grow closer to Him, (That’s WEiRD!). Most normal people find serving God as labor or if there is not something else to do then ok, but I find serving God a pleasure! (That’s just WEiRDer) Most normal people find talking about God to unbelievers somewhat awkward, but I find it as an adventure and get a spiritual high from seeing someone saved! (That’s just WEiRDo)

So basically, my WEiRD mustache that I wore last night was just a simple label of how WEiRD I don’t mind being to prove that I’m in love with Jesus and I don’t care what others think about that! Be WEiRD today, not normal. Normal just isn’t working anymore!
